San Diego Activities

There are a great many things to do and see while in San Diego.  Here are some of our favorites.  Keep in mind that they are not all located near the wedding venue and hotels.

Hiking at Torrey Pinestorrey-pines-reserve-ocean

This hike has a view that you can’t beat.  You can even follow the trails down to the beach. Avoid the parking fees by parking on Carmel Valley Road or Camino Del Mar.

3Day Walk

IMG_1816Our wedding happens to be over the same weekend as the Susan G. Komen 3Day walk in San Diego. Pull up alongside the route and cheer on the walkers.   Jen participated in this walk 2 years ago and she found that having people cheer is not only encouraging, but it keeps your mind off of the blisters on your feet!

InCahoots

In case you didn’t know, Jen teaches country western dancing at a country bar called InCahoots. Rocky has also been known to two-step around the dance floor.  We recommend having a drink and taking the dance lessons!

Our Favorite Restaurants:

Studio Diner

4701 Ruffin Rd
San Diego, CA 921230

The restaurant of our first “date”. Good food with big plates! Open 24 hours.

Phil’s BBQ

3750 Sports Arena Blvd
San Diego, CA 92110

Amazing ribs. We frequent this restaurant when Jen’s dad, Bob, is in town.

Urban Plates

One of our favorite spots for a quick bite.  A local farm to table restaurant.  We stop by for lunch whenever we’re in the area.

12857 El Camino Real
San Diego, CA 92130

Boba – Tea n’More

Our standby for Boba Tea.  Rocky’s favorite is the Passion Fruit Black Tea while Jen’s likes the Taro Milk Tea.

7380 Clairemont Mesa Blvd #111,
San Diego, CA 92111

Casa De Reyes

Great Mexican restaurant in Old Town San Diego.  Very nice outdoor patio seating.
